Everything is energy and depression has an energy unique to itself. It houses inertia at rest, as well as stillness, and those with depression are often best supported by movement. Those with depression experience stress as a weight that has settled into the body, pulling it down with a heaviness that can be debilitating and isolating. The longer it sits, the heavier it becomes and the more difficult it is to pull yourself up from that weight, making it difficult to do the simplest of tasks, from getting out of bed in the morning to brushing your teeth, much less getting through a whole day of activity. Join Melody White for this 2-hour workshop as she shares how to utilize the breath along with gentle movement to help rid the body of the weight of depression and allow you to function with greater energy and a more positive state of mind.
